We are delighted to be able to announce that we have just added two new tobaccos to our range, available immediately!
We are particularly excited that, in a departure from the Carey’s Pipe & Tobacco Shop ‘norm’, we have added a new tinned blend to our Carey’s Boutique Range. This has come about in response to customer feedback… firstly the numerous requests we receive to introduce tobacco in tins; a strange request maybe but it is hard to deny there is a specific joy in opening a fresh tin of your favourite blend! Tins also allow us a little more freedom in terms of the label design, and we hope you will like what you see. With regards to the specifics of Carey’s Castle Blend we have once again listened to our customers and created a typically English, Lakeland styled tobacco. These are the tasting notes, direct from the blender…
“A Traditional Lakeland Tobacco, produced by Samuel Gawith, with a marked similarity to their popular Squadron Leader. This tobacco epitomises the traditional English tobacco - blended dark and bright Virginias, together with Latakia and Turkish leaf resulting in a perfect, medium-bodied mixture giving you a rich, slow-burning smoke.”
Although not yet available through the Tobacco Club this blend will be featured in the catalogue as well as online and hopefully its popularity will pave the way for more Lakeland tinned tobaccos in due course.
We are also pleased that we have managed to secure a number of tins of Samuel Gawith’s 2013 Limited Edition Blend. Available in 100g tins and very competitively priced this tobacco is described thus
“For their 2013 Limited edition SG have chosen and blended a number of Virginias together with a sweet Black Cavendish, some Burley and a Vanilla Creme flavour. To complement the already smooth characteristics they also added a soupcon of Almond Essence and the result is a very smooth, medium strength tobacco with good volume and a delightful room note. It has been limited to a run of 500 tins, each 100g. So be quick, they’re running out fast!”
We sincerely hope that these new editions will be welcomed, in particular the Carey’s Castle Blend, and look forward to hearing your feedback and reading your reviews over time. Enjoy!
