With all the recent talk about the thawing of US-Cuban relations, cigars from the infamous Caribbean island have once again been thrust into the limelight. ¬†With some saying that the inevitable removal of the trade embargo will take away the ‘forbidden fruit’ attractiveness of the cigars, whilst others are predicting a golden age of Cuban cigars is dawning it’s clear that the news has got cigar aficionados talking the world over.

This fascinating interview with Fidel Castro dates back to 1994 and at the time was a ground breaking feat of persistence on the part of the interviewer when US-Cuban tensions were still high and the fall of the Soviet empire was hitting Cuba hard… Enjoy.
